If there is one thing a photographer loves it’s when clients come to us asking for a “golden hour” session. For those of you who don’t know “golden hour” is the magical time of day about an hour prior to sunset until about 10 minutes after sunset that is the best lighting of the day. In Palm Springs or Joshua Tree the sun hits the peak of the mountain range and creates a golden perfection of light that is absolutely stunning for photography.

If you’ve browsed around our work you’ll know that golden hour is our specialty and Sarah and Lev’s Joshua Tree engagement session at Key’s View was one for the books. Almost instantly Lev started cracking jokes and these two warmed up in front of the camera as they told me all about their cross country roadtrip they had just begun!

Since our engagement session was not only a rest stop for Sarah and Lev they also had never been to Joshua Tree before and my favorite treat for couples that have never visited the national park is to take them up to Key’s View. If you are looking for an incredible viewpoint that overlooks the entire valley than Key’s View is the place to be and it shows the entire Coachella Valley and is breathtaking at sunset.

All of Joshua Tree is stunning and Sarah and Lev were the absolute cutest and as I got to know them they shared that Lev had originally popped the big question on their trip to Israel. When we arrived to Key’s View to finish their engagement session Sarah and Lev said that the view reminded them of Israel and it was the perfect way to end our shoot.
