Shopping in Palm Springs at Mojave Flea Trading Post

When it comes to what’s happening in Palm Springs I like to stay in the know. This place is my forever home and whenever I see something new that has popped up I want to know all about it and how it will make an impact on our local industry. Navigating COVID has been very difficult for so many businesses in Palm Springs but when I stumbled upon the newly opened Mojave Flea Trading Post it seemed too good to be true. To have such an incredibly creative trading post open during the one of the hardest economic years is encouraging for the desert.

Boutique hotels are a hit in the desert along with boutique shops but Mojave Flea is officially at the top of my list when it comes to where to shop in Palm Springs. This 9,000 sq. ft. industrial trading post is filled with shopping from local makers and merchants from Palm Springs, Joshua Tree, and Southern California.

The curated selection of bohemian and indie inspired home decor is literally a dream come true. There are so many vendor with a collective of over 40+ makers that are all part of Mojave Flea. I love that you can walk around their giant space and see what each vendor has to offer and how they’ve styled each of their spaces with unique product displays and the cutest items.

My personal favorite was that you can shop, and not drop, thanks to Vagabond Roasting Co. and their coffee cart with drinks available for purchase. I tried their Campfire Vanilla Oatmilk Latte and loved that they sourced specialty beans from Oaxaca, Mexico.

After spending an hour browsing all of Mojave Flea and talking to their staff I can easily say that I’m so excited for this local business and that Palm Springs has a locally sourced shopping experience. Even though I wanted to buy nearly everything, I compromised with the cutest Palm Springs pink sweat suit from Alpen Glow and if you follow me on Instagram you can find some photos there.
