All of my desert peeps know that when a cute local shop opens up like this one (yay Kreem) people flock to check it out. For a while I watched Kreem on Instagram as they prepared for their grand opening and now that they’re finally open to the public I couldn’t be more pumped! Kreem is located on the southern end of Palm Canyon Drive and is the perfect addition to bring some life to Palm Springs. I stopped by with my friend Kate of Studio Kate Floral and met Bianca the owner and chatted while enjoying some of her BOMB ice cream confections.
What inspired you to open Kreem?
AN INSATIABLE LOVE FOR ICE CREAM. I’M A CHEF AND HAVE BEEN IN THE FOOD INDUSTRY IN ONE WAY OR ANOTHER FOR THE PAST 20+ YEARS. MY FIRST RESTAURANT WAS IN KUWAIT. I EVENTUALLY HAD TWO SMALL BREAKFAST SPOTS OUT THERE.
The gorgeous Palm Springs views outside of the shop!
What is your greatest dram for Kreem?
I’D LOVE TO GET MORE INVOLVED WITH THE COMMUNITY AND OTHER LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES. AS AN ENTREPRENEUR, THERE ARE ALWAYS VERY LARGE DREAMS AROUND YOUR IDEA(S). AS LONG AS YOU HAVE PATIENCE, CAN GO WITH THE PUNCHES, AND DRINK PLENTY OF COFFEE…ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE.
Where do you get inspiration for your ice cream flavors?
I LOVE THE CLASSICS, SO I DEF TRY OT HAVE THOSE ON HAND. I ALSO LOVE TO PLAY ON DESSERTS OR OTHER DISHES. AND YOU CAN NEVER GO WRONG PLAYING WITH INTERESTING AND UNIQUE FLAVORS FROM ABROAD.
What is your personal favorite flavor?
I LOVE, HANDS DOWN, MINT CHIP AND CHOCOLATE CHIP. THE TWO GO HAND AND HAND. NO TOPPINGS!
Signage and decor on point right?
My ice cream flavor of choice was Cereal Milk. It literally tasted like a Saturday morning, eating cereal and watching cartoons. It’s magical.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream.
