10 Wedding Day Tips for Brides

March 1, 2018

Planning the perfect wedding day is quite the process. But not to worry my friend: I’m here to bring you 10 of the best tips to plan, organize and schedule the wedding of your dreams!

  1. Delegate one of your bridesmaids/groomsmen as the lunch runner. You will be starving and no one wants a hangry bride so delegate a time and have your order given to him before the big day so that you don’t have to add it to your list of things to-do.
  2. Don’t wear a bra during the morning that will leave strap marks or impressions on your skin. These will show during your photos!
  3. Try on your wedding dress and bra beforehand. This will save SO much time and prevent any mishaps from choosing the wrong bra or wrong size if you do it ahead of the big day.
  4. Make sure you break in your heels ahead of time.
  5. Give yourself plenty of time to eat and take a break during the reception.
  6. Consider doing a “First Look” to get all of the important photos out of the way so you can spend time with friends and family during the reception.
  7. Create a very detailed timeline for the day and tell your wedding party what to do. Delegate specific tasks to everyone so that you don’t have to sweat the small stuff.
  8. Hire a wedding coordinator to keep things flowing so you can enjoy every moment. Your bridesmaids and groomsmen can handle tasks to a certain extent but a professional coordinator can manage vendors and technical details.
  9. Not only should you do a hair and makeup trial to make sure your artists nail your look for the big day; but do the trial for your engagement photos. Double the beauty!
  10. Find the right vendors that understand your vision. Not only is it important to hire someone because they do great work but that understands what you expect, desire and will mesh will on the big day.
